Spanish food exports to China increased 18 pct in 2014

Spain exported food and beverage products worth 506.6 million euros ($577.9 million) to China in 2014, an 18 percent increase with respect to the previous year, according to Chinese customs data provided Friday by Spain's trade office in China.
Wine, olive oil and pork offal and meat continue to remain Spain's major food exports to China, and together, they account for 77 percent of all food exports to the country in 2014, the office said.
Spanish export of pork offal and meat to China rose to 233.7 euros ($266.6 million) last year, while that of wine reached 83.5 million euros ($95.3 million) and olive oil amounted to 71.4 million euros ($81.5 million).
