The Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) is a U.S. State Department iniciative, to promote and spur entrepreneurship around the world, through it’s embassies by catalyzing and coordinating partners and resources around the following six areas to create an integrated, entrepreneurial ecosystem:
· Identifying.
· Training.
· Connecting and sustaining.
· Guiding to financing.
· Enabling supportive policy.
· Celebrating entrepreneurs.
GEP’s partners include both domestic and global NGOs, corporations, foundations, educational institutions and investors. To develop entrepreneurship ecosystems, GEP partner organizations are asked to further their activities, either by expanding current programs to a new country, or deepening existing programs in their current countries of operation.
