Ideas World Cup

Ideas World Cup is a non-profit competition founded in 2014 by Juan Prego, a pioneer in teaching organisations and teams from all sectors to unleash the power of creative thinking and reconnect their cultures to be more inventive.
OBJECT
The world's largest brainstorming event where individuals and teams from cities around the world compete to solve a social problem using the power of creative thinking.
AIMED AT
Each year, projects that have the potential to be implemented at a local, national or global level are awarded prizes to spread the word and bring their idea to life.
AWARDS
This year, the winner will also have access to mentors from the BIC Foundation's Corporate Community of Practice, a global coordination of educators, researchers, foundations, artists and NGOs to help maximise the impact of their idea.
This year's theme, "How can we inspire creativity in education", was selected by the BIC Corporate Foundation for its potential for global impact and its direct relationship to the Foundation's core value that creativity in education is key to personal progress and social change.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
- 21 April - 9 May: start of organised events and submission of ideas by participants
- 10 May - 13 May: The Ideas World Cup Jury will review and shortlist the best ideas.
- 13 May - 20 May: the jury will pose specific questions directly to the idea creators to refine and improve the potential of an idea
- 20 May - 26 May: finalists will be selected and an online voting phase will begin
- 27 May: the winning project will be announced, and the city with the most ideas submitted will be awarded the title of "most creative city".
